Converting a Lead

This article explains how to convert a Lead into a Client File.

1. Open the Leads tab

On the Home tab, click the Leads button. This will open the Leads tab.

2. Find the Lead

Once the Leads tab has opened, use the Search functionality to find the Lead you wish to convert.

3. Enter/Update Lead Details

You can, at this point, enter any relevant details in the Lead - you will, however, also have an opportunity to add more information as part of the conversion process.

4. Save & Convert

When you are ready to convert, click the dropdown on the right edge of the Save & Close button.

Then, choose Save & Convert from the options.

5. New Client Wizard

The New Client Wizard will now appear with details from the Lead already entered.

Use the New Client Wizard to add any additional information. When you get to the Matter Details, enter the relevant information. If it is not yet clear what the Matter will be, it is recommended that you set the Category to "Other" and the Type to "Assessment / Opportunity".

6. Complete

When you have finished entering all the information into the Wizard, click Finish on the summary page.

A new Client File will now be created and will open up to the Matters tab for this Client showing this client's first matter.
